        For the determination of water permeability of building materials and prefabricated building parts.


          Chloride field test system

        Determination of the chloride ion concentration in concrete to enable the identification of the risk of chloride induced reinforcement corrosion.





         

        Chloride penetration meter

        Evaluation of chloride permeability characteristics of concrete. The test is performed to monitor the amount of electrical current passing through concrete cores or cylinders. A potential difference is maintained across the ends of the specimen, one of which is the negative end and is immersed in a sodium chloride solution, the other (positive end) in a sodium hydroxide solution. The total charge passed, in Coulombs, that is related to the resistance of the specimen to chloride ion penetration, is measured.




         

        Cover meter

        Designed for extreme ease of operation for the measurement of the depth of cover to steel reinforcement in concrete. Also incorporated are bar detection and bar sizing facilities plus a range of invaluable functions for use in reinforced concrete condition surveys and check measurement.



          Crack monitoring

        In-situ evaluation of stress, structural inspection, structural monitoring the following range of instruments can measure geometric or physical parameters such as displacement and deformation. The complexity of the instrument or system selected can be varied according to the level of sophistication required. This may cover the measurement of a single parameter such as crack width, up to a multiple structural monitoring system.


         

        Half-cell digital corrosion meter

        Corrosion of steel is an electrochemical process involving anodic (corroding) and cathodic (passive) areas of the metal. By measuring concrete – surface electrical potentials relative to a standard reference electrode on a predetermined grid, the presence and location of corrosion and its probable future performance may be assessed, by regular measurements, to monitor the behaviour of new and relatively new structures and thus minimise maintenance.



          Metal locator deep scanning

        Finds rebar and metallic pipes, conduit, metal studs, junction boxes and metal framing up to 150 mm deep-before drilling or remodelling. It scans through most non-metallic construction material, including solid concrete.



          Moisture meter

        The Concrete Encounter will give you an instant reading of moisture content to over 6% for Concrete and 0 to 10 comparative for Gypsum floor screeds enabling you to make an informed decision on when to install the floor covering. Co-planer electrodes on the base of the Concrete Encounter transmit parallel low frequency signals calibrated to give average moisture content by comparing the change in impedance between damp and acceptably dry concrete.



          Pull-off strength (Bond Strength)

        Suitable for testing repairs of concrete structures where the bond strength between two layers of different type of surface coatings like cement plaster, lime, wall plaster, etc. on its support. Digital model suitable for measurements up to 16 kN assuring a wide working range ideal for a vast number of materials and applications.



          Pullout test apparatus

        Determination of the pullout strength of hardened concrete in test specimens or structures by measuring the force required to pull an embedded metal insert and the attached concrete fragment from a concrete mass.



          Rebound hammer

        Different models available, from the standard one to the more sophisticated digital model. Non-destructive testing of the surface of hardened concrete in order to evaluate the strength in various parts of structure. The digital hammer, which is battery operated, can be easily connected to a PC or serial printer via the RS 232 port. A large permanent memory can store up to 5000 results.



          Resistivity test meter

        For assessing the possible rate of corrosion in reinforcing bars. The time at which corrosion of steel may commence and the rate at which it may proceed is dependent upon properties of the cement paste and the permeability of the concrete. Since the electrical conductivity of concrete is an electrolytic process, which takes place by ionic movement in the aqueous pore solution of the cement matrix, it follows that a highly permeable concrete will have a high conductivity and low electrical resistance.



          Ultrasonic cross-hole test system

        Cross-hole ultrasonic test method is used to check the continuity of deep foundations, diaphragm walls or stay plates by detecting cracks or faults along the shaft and the tip. The homogeneity and quality of concrete are measured and defects are located accurately, even at the top of a pile. Sonic logging is a continuous measurement of sound velocity along the pile between an emitting sensor and a receiving sensor lowered down two or more tubes held together with reinforcements. The tubes are inserted before the concrete is poured and must reach the base of the pile.



          U.P.V – (Ultrasonic pulse velocity meter)

        Used as a means of monitoring changes taking place in the concrete and other materials, due to age, weathering, temperature, cracking etc. In concrete technology the values of modulus of elasticity and modulus of rigidity are easily derived from the resonant frequency, and are closely related to the quality of the materials, to the treatments or additives, and to the environmental changes.



          Water absorption of concrete surface (ISAT)

        Compiles with the requirements of BS 1881. The ISAT is particularly useful for testing precast units surface absorption test c/w reservoir, capillary tube, scale mounted on a board, retort stand, clamping device for horizontal testing.
